Ceremony of presentation of Credentials by H.E. Evgeny E. Terekhin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the FDRE, to H.E. Sahlework Zewde, President of the FDRE

On May 30, newly appointed Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Evgeny E. Terekhin presented Credentials to the President of the FDRE Sahlework Zewde. The ceremony was held in the presidential palace in Addis Ababa.

During the conversation of the Ambassador with the President, a number of issues of bilateral agenda was discussed, as well as prospects of developing multidimensional links between Russia and Ethiopia. In this context, the parties emphasized the importance of the upcoming official visit of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to Russia and his participation in the Summit “Russia-Africa” to be held in October 2019 in the city of Sochi. The parties reiterated their mutual aspiration to further strengthen and increase cooperation in various areas between the two countries.
