On July 7, an opening ceremony of the Olympic week in Ethiopia was held at the main square of Addis Ababa. Employees of the Embassy of Russia and Russian Red Cross Dej. Balcha Memorial Hospital supported the sport initiative by taking part in the festive activities including a 3 km run and a football tournament.
Russian diplomats together with the representatives of the Russian Red Cross Hospital were first foreigners to finish in the run. Combined team of diplomats of the embassies accredited to Ethiopia won the game by scoring 4:1 against the team of ministries of FDRE.
